Writing is my favorite part of being an author. From controlling the settings to the character dynamics, it is very fun for me. As human beings, we try to be controllers, so being an author is a huge outlet for me. But you may ask “where does she write”? To answer that, I would say any and everywhere! I write at home, at the park, in the passenger or backseat of someone’s car, on breaks from work, at a Starbuck’s, or even at a co-working space I signed up for. It’s good to mix up your environment if you’re like me and don’t want to be tied to one place to write. Below are some good tips you can follow to help you narrow down where you may want to write:
-Find out what type of surroundings best inspires you. Maybe you like noise in the background or maybe you like peace and quiet. Create the best environment for yourself so you can thrive!
-If you can make some space in your house to create room for a desk and chair, try it out. Having your own space can create a better focus for you. And the best part is you can decorate it however you want.
-Also, see if you like to be indoors or outdoors. Don’t forget to check the weather and bring a jacket with you just in case.
